Adriana Francesca Lima was born on June 12, 1981, in Salvador, Brazil. As a young girl, she won beauty pageants at school. At age of 15, she won the Ford Supermodel of Brazil contest. That became
her ticket to enter international competition. She moved to New York and signed with a professional modeling agency.

Soon after, opportunities came knocking at her door. Her exotic image, sensual movement, and her perfect figure made everything look fantastic. Famous designers wanted her and the cameras loved her. The beautiful latina was instantly a success in the fashion world.

She first became famous in 2000 as the spokesmodel for Guess. Everyone loved her fresh clean look and her sensual energy. She modeled for many famous fashion designers and labels. The very best photographers in the business spread her image all over the world. Soon she was appearing in fashion magazines like Vogue, Marie Claire, and many others.

Her great success brought a contract to represent Maybelline cosmetics for several years. She has done calendars, promotions, commercials, shows, and even some acting. Adriana has always been a fan of the novela Ugly Betty and once appeared on the show herself. This year, she will be on the fashion circuit modeling the new Givenchy line.

But inside that beautiful body beats the heart of a real angel. Lima does not forget where she came from. She does charity work for a local Brazilian orphanage called the Caminos de Luz in her hometown of Salvador. She likes to buy clothing for
poor children.
