Spanish movie star Antonio Banderas thrills audiences all over the world. His work ranges from exciting action movies like Desperado to delightful family movies like Shrek 2. After seeing his first musical stage play, Tony decided to drop out of school and study acting instead. He worked as a struggling young actor in Madrid for many years touring with various groups.

The handsome latino’s good looks and
talent were obvious. He quickly caught
the eye of big movie producers. Antonio performed in several films for the Spanish director Pedro Almodovar. Many of these were strange and controversial stories filled with sex and powerful drama. These great performances gained him international recognition and attracted the attention
of Hollywood.

The actor learned English while working on The Mambo Kings. He won roles in movies with big names like Tom Hanks in Philadelphia and with Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise in Interview with a Vampire. Madonna chose Banderas as her lover for the Truth or Dare video. After starring as the heroic mariachi in Desperado, he worked with Madonna again in Evita. Success led to a starring role as Zorro with Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Banderas is married to famous actress Melanie Griffith.
He devotes a lot of time to family and charity projects.
The talented actor sings in stage plays and promotes various products. He even owns part of a vineyard in
Spain that produces red wine.
